Robert groaned as the gas tank counter went up. This was the cheapest gas in the county. Ever since the terrorists gained control of the oil, gas became scarce and expensive, because America had refused to trade with them. Not a single Hummer had been seen in months. After the counter reached an ungodly amount of money, he swiped his $500 Visa gift card into the tank. Little more than $410 was left. Almost three years had passed since Obama had taken office. The Global Recession hadn't gotten much better.He never thought he'd see the day when people wept for George Bush. Robert swept the sweat off his forehead on the way to his apartment. He had turned the air conditioner off and closed the car's windows to save gas. It would be a hard summer indeed.
