Yo everybody,

I'm Brandon's friend Jamie Knox. This is my book.

So, same rules apply here as well as on Brandon book, Atlantis Rising. Please excuse any religious or opinionated writing, do not be offended by the cast of enemies, etc.

Awesome book all in all, so check it out. Oh and if I insult Brandon it's only 'cause I see him as a brother. Don't worry he will get me back in his book.

Placed in Kiev

I stood in the middle of the street watching the supers close in on the front lines. It was a slaughter. I wasn't allowed to help though. My orders were to not engage. I watched as a pair of flamers walked up to the entrenchment line and let loose a torrent of flame into the men hiding behind the sandbags and barbed wire. I watched as Marines were crisped inside CROC-5 armor and Rangers flailed around on the ground in agony as their armor crumpled and imploded from heat and their skin blackened and fried from the heat and flame. I smell the grease from their cooking bodies as it dripped from their quickly liquifying skin.

A Sword pushed through the barbed wire, barbs scratching across his armor, using his sword to cut his way through. He stepped up on the small wall that some Rangers had recently been occupying, well until a mortar hit killing them instantly. The Sword lifted his shotgun up to a young soldiers chest and pulled the trigger. A hole a foot in diameter was blown straight through his back. Another was quickly impaled on the Supers blade. A Golaith following the his brothers example, waded through the defensive line and slammed his gun down onto a marine crushing the mans skull. Another jumped the line and slammed a young soldier into the wall, powdering the man's ribcage. I looked past the line to see a second wave. Some 50 Supers advancing towards my front line.

This wasn't war, this was a slaughter, and I couldn't do anything to help. I was forced to watch as the men under my command were ravaged and slain. Just then my aid signaled me that I was getting an incoming message from a higher up.

"Angel 27 this is General Hayes I'm giving you three pairs of Gremlin fighters. This is all the support I can get to you right now. Good luck."

"Roger that Sir." I said before opening a comm with said fighters.

"Lone Wolf, this is Gremlin One-Seven-One, what are your orders."

"I want a pair of you to come straight down the street towards my location. I have supers overrunning my lines and we are about to break. If we are defeated they will have a straight shot at the capital building and we still have one hour before everyone is evacuated. We have to hold. Unload everything you have on the monsters on the other side of my line and then pull out to get resupplied, the rest of you circle the city and make sure no enemy air units enter this fight."

"But Sir the 100 yard protocal says....."

I watched as an older Marine's side was torn open by another shotgun blast. The advancing line of Supers was an imposing sight.

"I don't have time, they are breaking through, DO IT NOW."

"Yes sir."

Almost immeadeatly I heard the roar of a jet behind me. I watched the regs cringe at the sound of the engines and saw a pair of shadow's pass over me. Another 200 yards and then they opened up. The roar of the macine guns deafened all that still had their hearing and I watched in satisfaction as the supers on the other side of the line were torn apart by bullets. The Gremlins let loose their missiles and at once I saw a super catch one to the chest. Almost as fast as they had come the two fighters disappeared. The advancing Supers had not only been halted, they had been torn apart, none were left unhurt. The remaining infantry, emboldened by the air strike, rallied together and drove the remaining Supers back from our lines.
