I, Jack am the son of a janitor. my classmates embarrass me about my dad's job. I am mad at my dad for being a janitor. Why can't he have a cooler job?

I will get revenge. When I put a huge wad of gum under the desk in music class there will only be one person for the job. Then my revenge will be complete.

dairy entry two

I got caught. Now I have to clean up gum for three weeks after school every day. There is a cabinet with all the keys to the school. I borrowed the key for the bell tower and the steam tunnel. Instead of thinking of myself as the janitor's assistant, I thought of myself as an explorer going on an adventure. I ventured into the steam tunnel after the bell tower and I smelled the smell I knew too well. the smell of green apple bubble gum.

The door shut behind me and all I had was a flashlight with low battery. I found a boy named Eddie. He was hiding in the steam tunnel because his mother was mad at him and my father had given him the keys. Eddie told me about my father and I started to understand more about why he was a janitor. When my Dad was a kid, he borrowed his dad's corvette and crashed it into a telephone pole. He had to give all of his college money to his Dad to pay for the car. He told his dad he'd rather be in the army than to be with him. So, he went into the army. When he got out of the army the only job he could get was a job as a janitor.

I'm not mad at my dad any more. I understand that he's a good person. He didn't have a choice about his job, he did it to support his family.
